Royal China pays tribute to the beginning of the lunar calendar with a bespoke menu and festive amenities
Royal China Dubai, the city’s award-winning Chinese restaurant located in the heart of the DIFC, invites guests to ring in the Year of the Rooster in an authentic setting. There will be a splendid selection of traditional Chinese dishes. The captivating atmosphere of the venue will transport guests right into the heart of celebrations in the Far East.
Chinese New Year, also referred to as Spring Festival, marks the beginning of the lunar calendar. Chinese New Year is the most important annual event in Chinese culture. People born in the year of the rooster are supposed to be hardworking, resourceful, courageous and talented. The lucky colours of the rooster are gold, brown and yellow.
In line with the festivities, guests at Royal China are welcomed with a bespoke golden mocktail that matches the colours of the Rooster. As exquisite cuisine is central to the celebrations. Patrons will be offered a specially designed Chef’s Recommendations menu to indulge the senses, representing a delicately balanced and richly evocative taste of China. Some of the highlights include a Baked Golden Bun with Sesame, Braised Sea Cucumber with Mushrooms, Roasted & Poached Chicken with Garlic. The menu concludes with Sweet Osmanthus Flower Pudding, a treat that is best savoured with an aromatic and refreshing Chinese Tea.
Glittering, glamorous decorations including traditional Chinese lanterns complete the festive journey to Asia. Patrons will be gifted with the iconic red packets. The packets are an integral part of Chinese New Year celebrations, bringing good fortune for the months ahead.
