Presenting a pescatarian paradise
Located in DIFC, Dubai’s freshest seafood restaurant, Crab Market is a pescatarian haven, featuring aquariums and ice displays taking inspiration from fish markets around the world. The new dining concept offers a modern international cuisine focused on fair-priced seafood with crabs as their specialty. The expansive menu is inspired by the Levant, Russian, Italian, Peruvian and French cuisine, fusing the best techniques and flavours from across the globe, and has been expertly put together by renowned chef, Vladimir Mukhin.
Offering the best to food connoisseurs, the restaurant boasts a wide selection of seafood, including soft shell, blue, brown and Kamchatka crabs from four different parts of the world, lobsters, oysters and scallops in tanks; octopus, salmon, tuna, prawns, shrimp, black cod, and Chilean sea bass – all fresh from the markets. Catering for all palettes, Crab Market gives guests the opportunity to select their dish from the ice market or tank and have it cooked exactly to their preference.
Other culinary favourites include Burrata di Puglia, Bruschetta with Crab, Bottarga and Stratacciella, Rockefeller Oysters with Spinach and Parmesan, Crab Chowder and Lobster Laska. The menu also features tailored dishes for vegetarians with an innovative take on Pomegranate and Pesto-Pumpkin, Spinach with Raisins and Grilled Avocado with a chili thread.
The homegrown restaurant was brought to shores by Bulldozer Group and White Rabbit Family, adding to the growing repertoire of dining marvels by Bulldozer group. Explaining the concept, Alexander Orlov says, “We wanted to create a relaxed and inviting ambiance with a delicious and immersive dining experience that keeps on giving. Our guests will be spoilt with choice every day.”
Vladimir Mukhin, the widely celebrated brand chef who is also known as ‘the father of Modern Russian cuisine’, injected his culinary expertise by embracing a vast melting pot of cultures to create Crab Market’s unique flavour. Vladimir says, “The entire concept is built around seafood – we wanted to serve the freshest delicacies from all over the world. We have passionately tailored the menu to suit local tastes and preferences.”
Offering lunch and dinner, the signature dishes from the menu include the Russian delicacy Kamchatka Crab and the intensely flavoursome Soft Shell Crabs, both of which can be cooked in any one of the five signature sauces – White Pepper, Black Pepper, Curry, Garlic Chili and Champagne. The outstanding Tartare Mezzehcelebrates a delicious Arabic fusion between hummus and fresh raw fish, whereas the Cauliflower Carpaccio combines rich Italian flavours with a unique vegetable carpaccio, thinly sliced iced cauliflower with a mousse of parmesan cream served with shavings of black truffle.
The exquisite Gamberi Rossi Ceviche is perfected by a Peruvian tiger milk sauce, and resonates the vibrant feelings of summer, with colourful, rich flavours. Another highlight of the menu is the delectable Scallops with Hummus and Mandarin. Succulent scallops are fried with thyme and butter, and served on a layer of warm hummus, with a sweet, sharp mandarin dressing. The unusual combination of ingredients provides the perfect balance of sweet and savory tastes.
