The historic hotel located at the heart of the Corniche serves a host of traditional Arabic dishes at its special Eid lunch buffet.
ABU DHABI – June 4, 2018 – The Eid feast at Hilton Abu Dhabi allows family and friends to take in the celebrations with a touch of the region’s rich culture and heritage.
The elaborate buffet at the five-star hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, La Terrazza, will feature a wide variety of traditional dishes from across the Middle East. Served from 12.30pm until 3.30pm, the lunch is priced at AED 185 with unlimited soft beverages and AED 250 with selected house beverages.
The menu of the lavish spread will change on each day of the Eid celebrations and includes a range of salads and starters, a soup of the day, hot mezze, and a selection of traditional Arabic and popular continental mains. The carving section, live cooking stations, cheese display and endless dessert options are favourites of La Terrazza veterans.
Some interesting starter options include pate de campagne with Cumberland sauce, seafood terrine with wakame and squid with shaved fennel. Perfect to sample Middle Eastern cuisine is the hot mezze section, featuring dishes like kibbeh, fatayer, falafel and samosa in different flavours.
Executive chef Walter Miculan has opted for homecooked-style recipes for the Arabic mains to bring the flavours closer to home. From whole roast ouzi to lamb kabsa and Egyptian chicken mashi, beef tagine and shrimp machbous, La Terrazza has it all.
Soups and carving options will change every day, going through a variety of cuisines that are popular with the Middle Eastern palate. For desserts, there are Arabic favourites like mohalabia, mamoul, cheese kunafa and um ali in addition to a vast selection of European pastries and Asian puddings.
