The UAE’s most multi-dimensional dining destination, COYA Dubai, curates a unique exhibition by Spanish artist, Esther Arias titled “Lights and Shadows”. The artist’s first exhibition in the region shall be showcased at COYA’s intimate Member’s Lounge starting from the 13th of September.
Arias’ use of colour and shadows in her pieces are a reflection of the heart and mind – also showcasing the evolution of humanity and how people reach out for peace and happiness during hopeless stages of life.
Her paintings have been aimed to help the viewer feel rather than think about the art. The artistic development she aims for is spontaneous and instantaneous- allowing the viewer to get lost in the emotions that the colors of the pieces try to emanate. Among the pieces are Arias’ sunlight influenced Autumn, Between Right and Wrong Love representing man’s need, Bamboo Forest representing the connection between humans and nature, The Awakening – about lifting weight off and removing barriers and a strong statement from the universe with Sunrise from the sky.
“Esther’s work delivers a compelling sensory experience that is complemented by the flavors and sounds found at COYA. Through COYA’s artist engagement program, we are collaborating with a range of painters, photographers and other members of the creative community whose work aligns with COYA’s aesthetic and offers something unique and memorable to our guests,” said Cedric Toussaint, Director of Operations, COYA Dubai.
