French Mediterranean Food, Pastry Studio and Pretty Coastal Views
Inspired by gastronomic discoveries in the context of beautiful spaces, Levee Café and Lounge provides diners with a sensory food experience anchored by meaningful design. Situated on the North Side of La Mer with oceanic views, Levee serves French Mediterranean food set to an urban beat. The all-day dining menu takes cue from what’s in season meaning that dishes are ingredient-led and shaped by market finds.
Levee’s kitchen is led by Chef Chandima Alawata, who values dishes that reflect heartfelt home cooking. His ‘cuisine de coeur’ is evident in the flavour combinations, unveiling and pretty plating. Familiar and of-the-moment breakfast dishes include Eggs Florentine and Açai Bowls, while lunch and dinner promise a more seafaring influence with signature dishes such as ‘Canadian Lobster Tail, ‘Red Snapper Carpaccio’ and the ‘La Mer Seafood Risotto.’
A Coffee & Juice Mixology Bar as well as Bakery & Pastry Studio form key aspects of the concept. All bread and cakes are freshly prepared by a team of in-house pastry makers who rise before dawn each day to begin their magic. It’s an experimental way of baking with 92 recipes in rotation.
The interior architecture, envisioned by Innovate Living, a Dubai-based boutique developer, transfers a New York loft experience to the Dubai beach, resulting in an elegant and accustomed space. Guests can choose between beachside-chic on the thriving alfresco terrace or cozy-metropolitan nestled amongst marble kissed interiors with highlights of sunlit copper.
