For those looking to celebrate the spirit of unity with family and friends, the all-day dining restaurant Sofra bld offers a grand iftar from sunset until 8pm featuring local favourites such as the signature ‘Extravaganza Arabian Stuffed Whole Lamb’, ouzi, dolma and mousakhan. With prices starting from AED 205* per person, the buffet includes an array of Arabic desserts like lugaimat and cheese kunafa. Those who make bookings before the Ramadan begins can also enjoy a 20% discount on the iftar spread for the first 10 days of the Holy Month.
The award-winning venue also caters to those breaking their fast between a tight schedule by offering its catering services in a pre-booked meeting room. A special private iftar menu of signature dishes is designed for groups to enjoy at prices starting from AED 215* per person for a group of minimum 10 guests.
Ramadan is a great time for team-bonding activities, and Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi encourages groups to take advantage of its banquet halls, meeting space and rooms for a private iftar experience. Designed for a minimum capacity of 35 guests, this dining offer is priced at AED 180* per person and includes a special iftar menu, Ramadan juices, Arabic coffee, Arabian decor and a dedicated service staff.
For a more lavish private dining experience as the sun sets, the five-star hotel has also opened up its villas for iftar bookings of up 20 guests for AED 12,000*.
All-day dining options
In addition to the grand iftar, Sofra bld will also remain open for breakfast, lunch and dinner service. For dinner, the award winning restaurant will continue hosting the popular theme nights from 8:45pm until 11:00pm starting at AED 205* per person. The venue also provides catering into the hotel’s meeting rooms** for business lunches from noon until 3pm, along with a coffee break for prices starting at AED 175* per person.
Shang Palace, the signature restaurant, is open for lunch on Friday and Saturday, and daily for dinner from sunset until 11.30pm. Hoi An, the Vietnamese outlet, will only be open for dinner throughout Ramadan, while the Pool Bar will offer it’s a la carte menu and shisha from 9am until 2am. Alcohol service will resume as usual from 9pm at all three outlets.
Bord Eau, the popular French restaurant, will be open daily for dinner from 6pm until 11.30pm. The Lobby Lounge and adjacent Al Hanah Bar will both serve dinner daily from 7pm until 2am.
In-room dining will continue to be available for guests 24 hours a day with the addition of iftar and suhoor set menus to the usual a la carte menu.
