Recognising outstanding interior design and architecture projects across the region The Middle East Interior Design Awards (MEIDA) held their annual ceremony at N’Dulge on The Palm on Monday 19th May, 2014, awarding Qbara with ‘Best Restaurant Design, Middle East’ and ‘Best in Competition’, MEIDA presented the accolades after shortlisting the restaurant within their chosen categories.
Qbara, an Arabesque lifestyle restaurant and after-hours destination at Dubai’s Wafi Fort complex, which opened in November 2013, has achieved recognition by offering exceptional Middle Eastern cuisine within an impeccably designed space. Following their recent win for ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Time Out Dubai Restaurant Awards, and ‘Best Restaurant Lounge’ at the Arabian Business Awards Qbara continues to deliver a unique offering to the region.
“We are thrilled to receive this award as our interior design is something which we pride ourselves on. We worked closely with Noriyoshi Muramatsu and Studio Glitt who skillfully created a space inspired by Middle Eastern cultural elements, resulting in a fantastic overall ambience.” Says Elmar Pichorner, COO Jas Hospitality.
Qbara is the first brainchild of JAS Hospitality, a Dubai-based hospitality development and management studio dedicated to bring compelling food, immaculate service and glamorous design to the region. Most recently they have opened Fume within the prestigious vicinity of Pier 7 at Dubai Marina.
