Dubai Ramadan

As the holy month of Ramadan closing near, it looks like UAE authorities are all set to deliver their services to public in order to provide them relief in the month of Ramadan, in which the people tend to lose their energies because of day long fasts.

In the recent development the Dubai and Abu Dhabi have announced new parking timings for the month of Ramadan. Moza Al Murri, Director of RTA Marketing and Corporate Communication, said that the fee will be activated in all car parks coded A and B from Saturday to Thursday from 8am to 1pm and from 7pm to 12 midnight.

She further added that the timings for Deira Fish Market, Knowledge Village and Tecom Zone – Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City – will be different. The fee will be active at the Fish Market coded zone E from 8am to 1pm and from 4pm to 11pm.

In Tecom Zone and Knowledge Village coded zone E, the timings will be from 8am to 6pm, but will remain active for 24 hours at the multi-storey parking.

In Abu Dhabi, the Mawaqif parking timings will be split into two periods, 9am to 2:30pm and 10:30pm to 2:30am. On Thursdays, the second period will be from 9pm until midnight. The fees for all parking zones will remain unchanged during the holy month.

On Fridays and public holidays, on-street parking in Abu Dhabi will be free, but Ramadan timings will not apply to underground multi-storey parking.

The Department of Transport has also started implementing Mawaqif parking management in Al Ain City, with three sectors in Al Murabbaa, one in Al Madheef, one in Nad Al Salama, one in Nad Al Rusas and another in Hai Al Humaira.

While you keep fasts during the whole month of Ramadan, the authorities concerned will take care of everything else. We wish you a hassle free month of Ramadan.
