Following the global success of their first collaboration for SS15, Reebok Classic and luxury Parisian label Sandro have partnered for a second time, and will launch a limited edition capsule collection this FW. The distinct and complementary design styles of the two brands come to life on Reebok’s iconic Classic Leather and traditional Club C court silhouettes for three fresh and sophisticated limited edition kicks.
Renowned for its clean and refined aesthetic, Sandro’s focus on revisiting classic designs with a contemporary twist again proves to be the perfect partner to Reebok Classic, as the collection combines an elegant Parisian aesthetic with versatile, luxe streetwear staples.
Reebok’s Classic women’s Leather receives a luxe and glamourous makeover as its premium, Italian leather upper is updated with a futuristic mirrored finish in a glossy golden sheen, while white laces, interior and outsole provide a fresh contrast.
Executed in solid black or white colorblock, the Club C court men’s shoe takes its simplistic, streamlined look a step further, stripping back the Reebok lines for an unfussy, effortlessly timeless sneaker.
Evelyne Chetrite, Founder and Creative Director of Sandro, said “We’re delighted to collaborate with Reebok Classic on this second capsule collection and pay homage to these truly classic cool sneakers. We’ve fused the clean, minimalist silhouettes with a contemporary twist, resulting in timeless designs.”
Ilan Chetrite, Creative Director of Sandro Homme said “For FW15, our pre-collection articulates around the Reebok Classic x Sandro collaboration. The style is simple and classical, following in the steps of the Reebok’s Club C. We love its clean fit and we decided to push forward the uncluttered esthetics of this iconic 80’s shoe.”
Todd Krinsky, Vice-President of Reebok Classic, said, “It’s a great pleasure to collaborate with Sandro again, and bring a modernized edge and their refined definitive vision to our classic silhouettes. Both Sandro and Reebok Classic appreciate individuality and statement design that’s accessible and versatile for everyday wear – and this new collection reflects our common goal.”
For the first time, Sandro and Reebok have also collaborated to design a series of T-shirts. Playing with a contrasted logo on the collar. This monochromatic late-80s theme is a crossover between athletic and urban styles, featuring a T shirt available in electric blue (a throwback to Reebok’s original signature color) and in white, as well as a long sleeve version available in black.
The Reebok Classic X Sandro capsule collection is available at select Sandro stores worldwide, sandro-paris.com and Reebok.com.
