Harvey Nichols – Dubai celebrates the arrival of Pre-Fall 2021 in-store

Sun-soaked and covetable collections for women and men

The start of an endless summer is what seems to be a new beginning for most and the arrival of freshness in-store is guaranteed to offer just that. A refresh from the seasons gone, Pre-Fall 2021 focuses on timeless and elevated dressing from dawn-to-dusk with a joyful, summer-inspired twist.

Brighter and more sophisticated than ever, womenswear brings with itself a positive energy with silhouettes that keep on giving and hues that never tire. Speaking of womenswear, Studio Amelia leads with free-flowing dresses in tactile textiles while top-to-toe prints from Joseph and supple silks from Jonathan Simkhai offer a stylish relief from WFH dressing for the modern woman. True to form, Zimmermann refreshes its florals for the beach and beyond and self-portrait newness surprises with clean shapes and exaggerated waistlines, becoming a new go-to for cool-girl dressing.

When it comes to workwear, dressing up and down goes hand-in-hand with sharp, colour-pop tailoring from Acne Studios and more, paired with strappy sandals for a ‘business at the top, summer at the bottom’ approach. New name to know, Alémais introduces an ‘Under The Sea’ collection as an ode to the ocean, with crisp cotton separates punctuated with aquatic-inspired motifs. For a modern take on the classics, contemporary name Shona Joy and Aussie-label Anna Quan do the most with tonal, knitted dresses that play on the season’s love for flattering cut-outs and statement sleeves, while A.W.A.K.E. Mode’s artful selection of wear-forever skirts and tops sum up Harvey Nichols’ approach to dressing for joy.

Well-heeled or flat and chunky, footwear hits the mark with Proenza Schouler’s leather ties and Gianvito Rossi’s strappy whites that go with everything. Meanwhile, Gia Couture x Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s collaboration of footwear adds hand-braided and tactile wood details to the season’s soles. Cult-favourite, Malone Souliers, moves away from traditional pointy toes to a more fashion-forward silhouette but with signature details intact. For glamorous evenings (out or in!), wishlist-worthy launch Mach & Mach steps in with extravagant and glitzy diamanté bows.

The easiest complement to any look, Missoma’s delicate gold and silver jewellery makes a statement for stackable necklaces, bracelets and earring options – a trend that’s going nowhere. As for handbags, bright colourways in major and micro-shapes from Jacquemus stand out alongside practical and supple leather options in plentiful hues from Chloé.

Menswear reveals a smarter and grown-up selection of ready-to-wear with simple prints and lightweight knits from Commas and tonal sets from Prévu, the perfect solution to casual workwear. Everyday polos and shorts also get the summer knit treatment from new brand Ché, to wear as tonal dressing or pair with louder options. Offering a wilder alternative to the season’s knits and nudes, Dolce & Gabbana, Endless Joy and exclusive brandAhluwalia use hero graphic prints to pair with pared-back shorts, sandals and sunglasses. To add an extra element of fun to days spent in the sunshine, look to Frescobol Carioca x Garett Leight’s collection of bats, beach towels and more. Jewellery comes from Miansai and Title Of Workin sterling silver with attention-grabbing pendants and more as smart accompaniments to summertime dressing.

Footwear choices for men are clean and simple with day-to-night leather and suede options in updated hues from Axel Arigato while vegan brand, Clae, is the season’s sustainable choice for everyday dressing. Of course, no summer wardrobe is complete without a statement pair of sandals and that is where Acne Studios and Suicoke come in with their classic slip-on-and-go styles.

The Harvey Nichols Dubai Pre-Fall 2021 collection is now available to shop in-store.
