The Tim Hortons™ brand hosted a cheque presentation ceremony, to announce the successful completion of the Smile Cookie Campaign in partnership with Al Jalila Foundation. The ceremony was held at Tim Hortons’ store in Town Center Jumeirah on December 12, 2017 where the cheque was handed to Dr. Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation.
The Tim Hortons™ Smile Cookie campaign was introduced to the UAE for the first time in September 2017, after the huge success of the campaign in Canada, which started in 1996 to help raise funds for local charities. The campaign encouraged guests across the UAE to share a smile by purchasing a delicious chocolate chip Smile Cookie for AED6.00 at participating Tim Hortons™ restaurants with the full amount going to the Al Jalila Foundation, which is dedicated to transforming lives through medical treatment, education and research.
