Dubai, United Arab Emirates – As we welcome the covetable Spring/Summer 2022 collections in-store, we’re greeted by a modern, fresh and bold energy to accelerate us through the season. Newness from The Attico, Casablanca, Dolce & Gabbana and more sets the mood of things to come with lively, fearless – but ultimately cool – pieces to get pulses racing.
Zingy saturations and mood-boosting brights for women call their wearer to choose boldly and wear bravely this Spring. Multi-coloured paint stroked dresses from new-to-store New York brand, Et Ochs, and knitted ombre co-ords from Jonathan Simkhai, demand the attention of the room. Note, these brights feel breezy, not brash; refined, not flashy. Similarly, Nanushka’s vegan leather separates in juicy orange are a sustainable treat to truly get one noticed.
That said, the purist whites and refined shapes break confidently through the colour with relaxed boyfriend suits from MM6 Maison Margiela and white leather shirts and shorts from 3.1 Phillip Lim presenting a plain backdrop for popping neon handbags from Boyy.
Irresistible accessories for women naturally got the colour memo too. Bags in lime green from Yuzefi, and hot pink from Boyy and JW Anderson burst onto the scene, as do Mach & Mach fluoro fuschia heels, all providing easy access into cool, confident colour. Sustainable brand Ganni continues to provide contemporary must-haves in the way of dusty blue loafers, and the finishing touch to loose summer tailoring comes from new hat labels Maison Michel and Ruslan Baginskiy.
For impending luxury staycations (or those who dare to dream of an exotic getaway), the Resort and swimwear selection continues to make a splash in-store. From floral swimsuits by Zimmermann, to essential beach bags by Sensi Studios, poolsides are set to be the new catwalks. Must-have cotton dresses from Alemais and Zimmermann standout as the perfect pieces to pack when traveling.
Whilst the colourwheel for men is somewhat less saturated than women’s, it is nonetheless noteworthy. Endless Joy serves up a heavy portion of prints with tastefully tropical statement shirts in sunset shades, whilst SMR Days’ patterned co-ord sets scream ‘island getaway’. On the other side of the colour spectrum sits muted neutrals and pure white pieces. Unexpected hits of blazing pink lie beneath light linens from Australian Resortwear brand, Commas – just add Birkenstocks to finish. Muted and utility options from Casablanca and Dolce & Gabbana, coolly fill any wardrobe gaps where wearable staples are needed, and Qasimi master the perfect light layer with denim overshirts.
Imminent sun requires only the sleekest of shades for men. Enter: new styles from Off-White and Palm Angels set to suit all face shapes, plus, latest French brand to store, Ētudes’, transparent blocky frames.
Footwear treads into modern territory for men as thick-soled leather sandals from Grenson promise warmer days ahead, and the perfect accompaniment to linen sets. When it comes to sneakers, JW Anderson’s chunky leather styles – paired with bold socks from Falke – feel like a fresh take on a footwear favourite.
Little ones have a lot to look forward to, too. Mini style stars can expect a wave of paintbox brights in-store as sunshine shades and grown-up prints take over the kidswear selection. Girls can try on florals and fun prints from Zimmermann and Stella McCartney, while boys have subtle logos and graphic tees from Fendi and BOSS to enjoy.
The Spring/Summer 2022 collections for women, men and kids are now available to shop in-store at Harvey Nichols – Dubai.
This is the season to be seen.
