The historic hotel at the Corniche brings back its popular Ramadan tent at its Beach Garden, featuring live oud music and a menu of traditional Middle Eastern delicacies.
ABU DHABI – May 2017 – For Ramadan this year, Hilton Abu Dhabi has set up a Sohoor tent at its Beach Garden with the theme of Layali Zaman, which means ‘olden days’ in Arabic.
Guests are invited to experience the true spirit of the Holy Month in the Sohoor tent, where popular oud player Magdy Khalil Mohamed Ebriham Hussein performs live every night.
Friends and family can spend their evenings together by playing board games and sampling traditional Middle Eastern dishes. Designed by Executive Chef Walter Miculan specially for the Ramadan tent, the Sohoor a la carte menu includes a wide selection hot and cold mezze as well as Ramadan desserts.
Favourites like hummus, moutabel, tabbouleh, fattoush, babganoush and vine leaves are served as cold starters. The highlight of the menu, however, is the range of hot starters featuring signature dishes like soujok with bell peppers and batata harra with mushrooms.
There is a wide range of saj (flat breads) and Feteer meshaltet (a layered pastry dish) on the menu, filled with a variety of cheeses, meats and spices. Sweet versions are available as well with fillings like chocolate, honey and banana.
For desserts, there are popular treats like um ali, kunafa and katayef. A must-try is the Znoud Al Set, a crispy pastry roll filled with clotted cream, fried until golden brown and dipped in sugar syrup.
The grand Suhoor tent at the Beach Garden will be open from 9pm until 2am from Saturday to Wednesday, and until 3amon Thursday and Friday. There will be a cover charge of AED 50 from Saturday to Wednesday, and AED 60 on weekends.
La Terrazza, the all-day dining restaurant, will host a lavish Iftar daily from 7pm until 9pm. Featuring a variety of cuisines and traditional Ramadan favourites, the buffet is priced at AED 175* per person. Children between the age of 6 and 12 years can dine for AED 85* per child, while those aged five and below can dine for free.
The restaurant is open to group bookings and have fixed rates of AED 160 per person for a group of 10, AED 150 for groups of 20, AED 140 for groups of 30.
Hiltonia Spa has a special offer running until June 26th for those looking to unwind with a massage. Guests who book a massage of 60 minutes and above, get 50% off the second treatment. The second treatment will only be offered at half price for one month since the first treatment. The offer can also be redeemed if two guests visit at the same time.
