Dubai, 23 September 2019: Known as one of the most luxurious destinations in the world, Velaa Private Island invites guests to enjoy an exclusive four-hands dining experience featuring international Michelin-starred chefs. Throughout November, each guest Chef will collaborate with the island’s Executive Chef Gaushan De Silva on a gastronomic menu presenting the best of their cuisine. The visiting chefs include Denmark-based Brian Mark Hansen, Netherlands-based Alain Alders and German-based Tristan Brandt and boast 5 Michelin Stars between them, promising a real treat for diners at Aragu.
The exclusive collaborations are set to provide a combination of each chef’s culinary techniques, signature dishes and respective cultures. The four-hands concept originated in Spain and has become increasingly popular across the world, with diners being treated to a single multi-course gastronomic journey, crafted by both Chefs in collaboration.
Velaa will welcome Rajat Parr – owner of Domaine de la Côte in California, Frédéric Engerer – CEO of Artémis Domaines (the Pinault family wine properties including Château Latour, Clos de Tart, Domaine d’Eugénie, Eisele Vineyard and Château Grillet) , Rodolphe Péters – owner of the historic Pierre Péters Champagne estate, Bibi Graetz one of Italy’s most ingenious “cult” winemakers, as well as Alvaro Palacios from the eponymous domaine, one of the most prestigious Priorat wine estate.
Guests at Velaa Private Island can pamper themselves with a world-class cuisine at three different restaurants – or in the comfort of their own villas and residences – which are under the consultancy of Michelin-star trained Executive Chef Gaushan de Silva. The restaurants include Tavaru, Athiri and Aragu restaurant.
