Get ready for the biggest Fashion event of the year, Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience. The stage is set for yet another marvelous response in Dubai which will embark a new dawn in the fashion world of UAE.
The second edition of the ‘Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience’ (VFDE) will take place from October 30 to November 1, 2014, at The Dubai Mall and organisers this week unveiled the calendar of events at the city’s latest fashion showcase.
Serving as a mentoring platform to nurture the upcoming generation of fashion designers and set a benchmark to encourage future talent, will present three days of fashion celebrations.
Following the first global talent scouting competition launched in January 2014 and organised by The Dubai Mall and Vogue Italia, with the support of BySymphony.com, 20 emerging designers have been selected to showcase their women’s and accessories Spring/Summer 2015 collections at a special event at the Armani Hotel Dubai that will be held on October 31 and November 1.
The 20 emerging selected designers for Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience are: Anabela Chan from the UK, Astrid Sarkissian from France, Odély Teboul and Annelie Augustin from France and Germany, Faiza Bouguessa from France/Algeria, Carlotta De Luca from Italy, Martina Grasselli from Italy for Coliac, Dora Abodi from Hungary, Lubna and Nadia Al Zakwani from Oman for Endemage, Eun-Jung Lee from South Korea, Heaven Tanudiredja from Indonesia, Hema Kaul from India, Farah Nasri from Lebanon for Hooked | HKD, Eva Lai from the USA for i’Alave, Marius Janusauskas from Belgium, Millicent Nobis from Australia for Mies Nobis, Kostya Omelya from Ukraine for Omelya Atelier, Reem Al Kanhal from Saudi Arabia for RK Designs, Sarah Angold from the UK for Sarah Angold Studio, Shamsa Alabbar from the UAE, and Steven Tai from Canada.
Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience will also celebrate the talent of eight new international designers at a fashion show to be held at The Dubai Mall Fashion Catwalk on October 30. The designers were selected by Vogue Italia as part of the event’s focus on mentoring the new generation talents.
The eight brands chosen are: Asudari Studio designed by Lamia Asudari from Saudi Arabia, Christopher Esber from Australia, J. JS Lee designed by Jackie JS Lee from South Korea, Madiya Al Sharqi from the UAE, Miuniku designed by Tina Sutradhar and Nikita Sutradhar from India, N°3 designed by Bushra Badri and Amira Al Khaja from the UAE, Stella Jean from Italy and Piccione Piccione designed by Salvatore Piccione from Italy for Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience.
