Kris Fade, known through his self-titled show on Virgin Radio Dubai, will be MC-ing at his first ever Electric Run this weekend and said: “I am very excited to be part of this global phenomenon which has finally come to Abu Dhabi. Combining fitness with music is a great idea as it motivates people to work out and have fun at the same time. Electric Run is a new social and healthy trend in the UAE that everyone should be a part of.”
Kris moved to Dubai from Australia over eight years ago and helped set up Virgin Radio Dubai. He has won numerous awards, including Ahlan! Best Personality in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and has been in the Hot 100 for 5 year and counting. Moreover, his experience in radio has given him the opportunity to interview and meet some of the world’s top celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Tom Cruise, Ed Sheeran, Iggy Azalea, The Script and Pharrell.
“Everyone knows I am a big advocate of getting active and keeping fit. So when I was invited to come down to Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run, I thought it was a fantastic idea to get involved in such a unique experience,” added Kris.
Joining Kris Fade on the main stage at Daman’s ActiveLife Electric Run is one of Abu Dhabi’s most popular DJs, Lucy Stone. Lucy is known for her weekly gigs at the Aloft Abu Dhabi Hotel and The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa.
“As you can imagine I am absolutely ecstatic about this opportunity! What an honour and a privilege to be headlining at one of the coolest 5K night runs in the UAE,” said Lucy who entertained crowds at Electric Run London, headlined Es Paradis Ibiza and also played at Creamfields.
“Electric Run has a similar vibe to a lot of the events that I’ve been involved in. The music I’ll be playing this weekend will be very uplifting and happy; it will give you that electrifying rush you need to run your 5K and it will be exactly what you want to hear at the finish line when you are celebrating with family and friends.”
This global phenomenon has quickly become the biggest night run in the world. Electric Run has electrified London, Chicago, Los Angeles and Singapore, and has taken Sydney and New York by storm and recently in Dubai.
