With its emphasis on fresh, regional ingredients and bold seasonings, the multi-award winning Latin American restaurant COYA Dubai will take diners on a vertical journey across Peru, serving a savory ode to the flavors and colors of the Land of the Incas during Dubai Restaurant Week from March 5 -14.
Known for their immersive Latin American culture, COYA Dubai infuses Peruvian cuisine with Spanish, Japanese and Chinese influences for unique flavors. COYA Dubai will serve on your lunch plate the most appetizing elements Peruvian cuisine, which includes options for vegans, vegetarians and gluten-intolerant eaters.
Appetisers to choose from include Hongos Ceviche, if you’re a vegan. It’s wild mushrooms with Peruvian corn called choclo, shallots and crispy enoki mushrooms. Baos con Res Wagyu, a wagyu short rib served in a house-made bao, is a combination of South American seasoning with Chinese influences. Salmon Taco is gluten-free, raw salmon ceviche with creamy avocado and tangy aji Amarillo.
The mains include a variety of dishes, such as the Costillas de Res, a set of beef ribs with miso and lemon-flavored pepper. Peruvian-Japanese fusion, Arroz Nikkie, which is a Chilean sea bass in an iron pot with rice, lime, and chilli. There is also the the vegan, gluten-free option Papa Seca Coliflor, which includes Peruvian dried potato, cauliflower, celeriac, and the traditional aji Amarillo yellow pepper, which is also from Peru.
COYA’s special menu for Dubai Restaurant Week also includes a refreshing sweet-tart Peruvian drink, Chicha morada, which gets its gorgeous hue from dried purple corn.
