Registration is now open for the 10th annual Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), which takes place on December 6-14, 2013.
Students, media and industry professionals are invited to sign up for their place at the festival, which offers international film screenings, galas, masterclasses, discussions and workshops.
Guests will have the chance to meet filmmakers, movie stars and industry professionals from across the world. Many of the events are also open to the public, with tickets for screenings available to buy during the festival.
Last year’s festival featured more than 150 films, including 50 world premieres from 56 countries. DIFF also offers a platform for Middle Eastern filmmakers thanks to initiatives including Enjaaz, a post-production funding programme for Arab filmmakers, and The Exchange, a series of training activities in partnership with international organisations that help to nurture UAE and Arab talent.
DIFF managing director Shivani Pandya said: “Plans are well under way as we prepare to shine the cinematic spotlight on Dubai and celebrate 10 years of DIFF with a stellar line-up of films, special guests, industry initiatives and events that we are excited to share with festival-goers.
“DIFF is a frontrunner in promoting better cultural understanding through creative achievements in film.”
