Barcelona Hungry castle with their popular slogan ‘We make cool Shit’ are coming to Dubai enriched with their most weird and wacky art collectives. They are successfully disseminating epic art collections that projects art wonderfully onto the world.
Their intense dedication has created a Barcelona based collaborative platform for producing large scale creative, eccentric and unique public art. To bring their cultural heritage on the platform of Dubai they have teamed up with Simon Coates, a Dubai-based artist and former manager of Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre to bring projects to the UAE.
The previous grand project of Lionel’s Richie Head was a great success shared by Hungry castle members Dave Glass and Kilian Cooper. The artwork was exhibited at British Music Festival in 2013. Inspired by the Lionel Richie famous Hello music video, Hungry Castle constructed a giant inflatable sculpture of Lionel’s Richie Head. Overwhelmed with immersive and surreal experience people crawled through the tunnel to go deep inside the sculpture and listen to the famous line ‘Hello, is it me you are looking for?
After gaining an immense public response and newsworthy attention from BBC, USA today, Guardian Post and many more. The Hungry Castle management decided to work on a similar inflatable project called Nicolas Cage in a Cage, which will be launched at the Splendor in the Grass music festival in Australia next month.
The future of this artwork is bright. It is receiving acceptance and are welcomed whole heartedly in many of the places. This unique artwork not only produces distinctive and unmatchable art collections but has also transformed the definition of artwork perceived formerly. This artwork encourages active participation and public involvement. The introduction of this artwork to Dubai will allow locals to volunteer as Hungry Castle members for the entire duration of work.
