The most significant feature of Fast and Furious 7 was the ‘Supercars’ used in it. For the UAE audience, these amazing supercars are once again coming back for an exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
The film was partly shot in Dubai where the supercar of the Lykan Hypersport flew over Abu Dhabi. This Middle Eastern car, made by Beirut based company W motors, is the most expensive to feature in a film. Even the headlights on this car are magnificently embellished with sapphires, diamonds and white gold.
Vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of euros were lent to the movie makers by Abu Dhabi car owner Saif Alamoudi.
The director was persuaded to shoot at UAE and Dubai extended full support for the execution of the plan. Along with that, the company offered assistance needed in the production, cars and petrol. The Dubai government has extended full support and backing to Abu Dhabi in entering to the film industry.
The three supercars included a two-million dirhams (500,000 euros) Lamborghini Aventador, a Dodge Viper, priced at 700,000 dirhams (175,000 euros) and a Mercedes AMG C63 (110,000 euros). The three cars were used by Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Michelle Rodriguez.
The owner of these supercars, Saif Alamoudi spent about more than a large portion of a million euro in preparing these supercars again. He has shown his eagerness to lend the cars again if the producers agree to shoot the next episode of the franchise in Dubai.
