Chef de Cuisine Raymond Wong and Dario Cecchini will host a series of special events at Atlantis, The Palm
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – Cutting into the Atlantis Culinary Month with a first for the region, Seafire Steakhouse & Bar will welcome leading contemporary and internationally known Tuscan butcher, Dario Cecchini to the restaurant for two special events. Taking place on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th November, Seafire’s Chef de Cuisine, Raymond Wong will join forces with the world-famous butcher to create two bespoke events, inspired by their culinary passion for beef.
Starting at 7pm on Thursday 23rd November, the ‘Meating of Two Greats’, will see Dario and Raymond come together to deliver an exclusive six-course menu for just AED 450 per person, including dinner, welcome drinks and entertainment served by a five-piece band. With both chefs known for their elaborate and unusual dishes using the best in quality beef, guests can expect to try marbled beef cheek terrine, syphon oxtail tea, savory short rib donuts and Dario’s signature Sua maestà Bistecca alla Fiorentina.
On Friday 24th November, Seafire will introduce ‘A Menu with Dario Cecchini’, where the world-renowned butcher will take the helm to deliver show-stopping butchery skills, theatrical poetry recitals and award-winning dishes for a special ‘pop up’ experience. Priced at AED 395 per person, the eight-course menu will serve dishes using meat from the entire cow, including some of the most unusual and quality cuts of beef. This includes starters such as the crostino di crudo (a tartar crostini), Fiorentine crostini (a spicy meat sauce on toast) and mains such as Il regno del filetto (Filet two ways) and a carpaccio and Brasato al Midollo (Marrow Braised beef).
Not to be missed for any beef lover, Dario Cecchini is widely regarded as being the best butcher in the world. Believing butchery to be an ancient art that involves a deep respect for the animal, he sees his role as that of teacher and educator, with his hosting skills consistently referenced as show stopping and unforgettable. Boasting fans including Sting, Noel Gallagher, Jamie Oliver and Jack Nicolson, his Tuscan butcher shop has queues around the block and his restaurant Solociccia (“Only Meat”) has a consistently healthy waiting list. Renowned for occasionally breaking off, without warning, to recite Dante and offering everyone who walks into his butchery a glass of Italian red and cold cuts, an evening with Dario is not one to be missed. The two-day event, part of the Atlantis Culinary Month, is set to celebrate all things beef, using Seafire’s highest quality cuts from Rangers Valley in Australia and showcasing a perfect synergy between Chef Wong’s innovative creations and Dario’s decade honed skills.
