Hugely popular and much anticipated fashion brand Michèlle Belau has decided to expand the presence in UAE. According to the responsible authorities, the brand has chosen UAE has the potential market and decided to throng in more efforts. The plan for the expansion will be a five years plan as the company puts in more and stores across UAE. Primarily, Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been chosen as the preferable places.
Michèlle Belau, a high-street fashion label based in Peru which operates more than 43 outlets across South America, has announced plans to open five more stores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the next five years.
Michèlle Belau opened its flagship store in the UAE last year at City Walk in Dubai. It also has a dedicated website serving customers in the Middle East.
The retailer has plans to expand its Middle East operations primarily through equity ‘crowdfunding’ via a website called Eureeca.com, which helps businesses to raise capital from online investors including customers.
Veronica Smulders, managing director of Michèlle Belau Middle East, said: “We plan to open at least five new stores over the next five years, building on our success in the UAE before expanding to the wider GCC.
The brand is immensely popular in the world and slowly finding its grip in the Middle East. The potential market and the growth has obviously made the authorities keen on expanding. Interests of people in the brand in the Dubai Store have encouraged the brand to take the decision. It is the first time that any South American band is getting such popularity in very less time in the Middle East. Exact plan for the expansion is yet to be revealed. The draft of the plan will be decided by the management and it will work subsequently.
